Iranian Association for Logic (IAL) (founded in 2012) is the unique academic NGO in Iran which is in charge of bringing together all Iranian logicians inside the country and abroad as well as organizing annual international logic conferences and imposing policies for the development of various fields of mathematical/philosophical logic in Iran. It is indeed in close collaboration with various universities and institutes in Iran which host some logic groups, including Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology and Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM).
Recently IAL established a simple official online forum on Telegram as a feature which allows the IAL members to stay in touch with each other, receive IAL announcements instantly, discuss mathematical and philosophical topics with their colleagues, share the conference and job news in and out of Iran, organize group meetings of common interest, and discuss the general academic policies of their local logic groups and IAL.
The forum members are mainly Iranian professors and graduate students whose area of research is related to any branch of mathematical/philosophical logic and its applications in computer science. But in principle, there is no limitation imposed by nationality for those who want to follow the news related to Iranian logic society. The only requirement is your full name, academic affiliation and area of research which will be announced to the other community members. Also, most of the posts are in English, however, some users prefer to write in Persian.
Thus please feel free to join us if you would like to know more about logic in Iran or share some thoughts with your Iranian logician friends over there. In order to do so, you first need to install Telegram App on your smart phone or computer and then click on the group invitation link (second link) which directly leads you to IAL group.
Not to mention that a selection of the posts in IAL online forum will appear in the IAL News Bulletin periodically as a general report of the activities in Iranian logic society.
We will appreciate if you share this with your mathematical/philosophical logician friends (particularly Iranians) and all those who have a general interest in logic especially in Iran.
